Appeal Update:

We're delighted to announce that our 2025 Big Give winter appeal surpassed its fundraising target of £80,000! A MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who donated and shared.

You can still make a donation to our services for local people facing homelessness via our donation form below.

~25 NEWLY HOMELESS LOCAL PEOPLE ARRIVE AT OUR DAY CENTRE EVERY WEEK. CAN YOU HELP THEM?

Over the past year, 734 people were seen sleeping rough in Lewisham and Greenwich. That's an 86% increase since 2022 and is just the tip of a much greater iceberg that includes people sofa surfing and living in temporary accommodation. These are our neighbours, and they need our support.

The 999 Club has provided warm welcomes, nutritious food, hot showers and vital advice for those in South East London facing hardship for over 30 years. However, our services would not exist without donations from the public.

This winter, due to overwhelming demand, our expert housing officers aren't able to find safe accommodation for everyone. But for those sleeping rough, we will provide everything needed to survive the cold: from sleeping bags and warm clothing to hot food and vital equipment.

Most importantly, we are able to offer hope. We work alongside our members so that they can leave homelessness behind them for good.

With the cost-of-living crisis and continued austerity pushing more and more local residents into brutal poverty and homelessness, your community needs you more than ever to make sure our vital services stay open for everyone who needs them.

So as the cold weather sets in, we're asking you to make a donation for people facing homelessness this winter.

Support people facing homelessness this winter

Who we support

Your support this year could help someone like Denise, who found herself homeless after her landlord put her rent up, forcing her to vacate her flat.

Our services not only provide expert advice on finding a home, but crucially, the dignity that comes with having a hot shower and being able to change into freshly washed clothes.

For more interviews with those who've been through our services, check out our Stories of Change page.
