Leadership

Charly Richardson

CEO
I started my career as a professional touring and studio musician, as well as a Community Music Practitioner, working in schools and youth centres across London and beyond. From there, I moved into project management, training, and leadership roles—first running a large service for Essex County Council, and more recently as the CEO of Lewisham Music. Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about social justice and empowering communities, for example through programmes supporting Children in Care and young asylum seekers. Joining the 999 Club and its dedicated team is an absolute honour. I live locally and spend my spare time with family or enjoying a good BBC drama or political podcast. I still play saxophone and clarinet and write songs when I can!

Ben Latham

Head of Fundraising and Communications
Originally from Manchester, I moved to London 17 years ago and have been fundraising here ever since. I've worked and volunteered for a broad range of organisations including LGBTQI welfare, Refugee issues and International Development. Recently, I headed up fundraising and communications for Spitalfields Crypt trust who work with a similar client group to 999 Club. Few things make me happier than securing funding for projects which empower people out of homelessness.

Teresa Goede

Head of Operations
With a background spanning nursing to criminal justice, managing supported housing, forensic mental health services and a pub along the way (though not all at the same time!) my whole career has been about working with people. Having always been fascinated about what makes them tick, working to understand people’s behaviour is massively important to me. I am thrilled to join the 999 Club and aim to take a strengths-based approach to supporting the team so that, in turn, they can provide compassionate care and support to the people who use our services.

Roy Brown

My journey with the 999 Club began in 2022 as a service user. The help and support that the service gave me was truly remarkable and without it, I would not be housed, working, and fully integrated back into society. When the opportunity came for me to be on the board of trustees, I saw it as an honour and a pleasure that I could give a service user voice to the board. As a service, the work that is done in helping people get housing or accommodation is unbelievable and makes a real difference in people's lives. The team of trustees have made me feel welcome and part of a team working to help solve the problem of homelessness. Thank you, 999 Club.
