Co-production Volunteer

As a Co-production volunteer, you will be part of a team ensuring our clients are a part of, and have a say at, every level of the organisation. You will be working with clients, who have experienced homelessness and may be facing complex and multiple issues. You will be befriending, supporting, motivating and empowering. Along with delivering workshops and activities, you will ensure that our clients are aware of all the services we offer and are encouraged to engage with them. You will be supporting the work of the Co-production Lead and be part of innovative strategies and projects in the homelessness sector.

You’ll need excellent communication and people skills as well as confidence and enthusiasm. The role would suit somebody with a warm, empathetic and non-judgemental approach to engaging with others. You’ll need to be committed, reliable and punctual. Lived experience is not essential but is welcomed.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who wants to progress to a career in health or social care.

Duties may include:

• Facilitating workshops and activities
• Supporting clients who are volunteering themselves
• Working alongside the Co-production Lead
• Assisting with Co-production projects and events
• Empowering and encouraging clients to get involved
• Befriending
• Conducting surveys or gathering feedback through conversation

We ask you to commit to a minimum of one session a week for six months. Monday – Friday 8:45am – 1pm or 12:30pm – 4pm or all day with a 1 hour lunch break. Full induction, training in relevant skills and knowledge, ongoing mentoring, supervision, monthly reflective practice. We provide lunch and travel expenses and a DBS check.
