2024 Xmas Info

We're unable to receive food, clothing and other donated items this year

999 Club is always grateful to receive offers from supporters wishing to give items such as warm clothing and food. But at Xmas, we get overwhelmed with public kindness. Sadly we just don't have the suitable storage space or staff capacity to launder, store, or distribute most of what we're offered.

If you would still like to support then below is a list of items we urgently need to purchase and how much they cost

This may not feel very festive, but it will ensure our members get exactly the equipment they need when they need it.

For any donations of clothes and food, we recommend the Lewisham Donation Hub, who are much better equipped than us for processing and distributing these items.

If you're able to give more, here's the impact a bigger donation could have...

£250
Personal Care Items for One Month

This donation would supply essential personal care items for our members, including:

  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes
  • Shower gels
  • Baby wipes
  • Sanitary products

These basic items help maintain dignity and hygiene for those in need.

£500
Nutritious Hot Meals for a Month

This amount would provide daily nutritious hot meals at the Gateway Centre.

Note: During the colder months, this need nearly doubles, making your support even more vital.

£4,995
Training and Knowledge Investment for a Full Year

This donation would cover a full year of training for our frontline staff and volunteers, helping us:

  • Implement trauma-informed approaches in all our work
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in housing and homelessness
  • Maintain best practices in safeguarding

Investing in our team’s knowledge ensures they can provide the highest level of support to our members.

£10,000
Vital Documentation for Our Members

This funding will cover the costs of procuring essential documents for our homeless members over a 6-month period. These documents include:

  • Passports
  • Birth Certificates
  • Driving Licences
  • Bank Account setup

While obtaining these may seem mundane, they are crucial for our members to start rebuilding their lives. Without proper identification, it’s almost impossible to access housing, employment, or other vital services. Your support will ensure they have the paperwork needed to move forward.
