Get help now
We know that facing homelessness can be really tough. Even working out what your options are can feel overwhelming.
This page is here to make things as simple as possible, showing you where you can get help and what support we can offer.
Experiencing homelessness? Get help now
If you’re experiencing or at risk of homelessness and you have a connection to Lewisham or Greenwich, the 999 Club could be the right place for you.
- You’re very welcome to come and see us at The Gateway, our day centre—there’s no need for a referral.
- We have four ‘new’ spaces each day, offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
- When you arrive, our reception team will book you into the next available slot.
- You’ll then have a chat with a member of our team about your situation.
- From there, we can either arrange a more in-depth assessment or help connect you with other services that may be better suited to support you.

Support outside of Lewisham & Greenwich
London only: If you’re in any part of London, you can use Atlas to find detailed information about services near you.
Across England & Wales: You can visit Street Link to learn how to connect with support services anywhere in England or Wales.
Important to know
If you’re looking for housing advice, you can contact Shelter on 0808 800 4444 or via their web chat.
While we offer a wide range of support, we do not have access to accommodation, including emergency housing. We’re also not the right service if you already have housing but are looking to move.
If this applies to you, we’ll always do our best to point you towards other organisations that can offer the right support.
