On 15th June 999 Club celebrated it’s 25th anniversary. Thanks to the gardening club and the hard work of the whole team the place was looking at it’s best.
As part of the evening we asked people to sign our pledge-wall and support homeless people in our community. And anyone who would like to can still sign the pledge here.
We were delighted to unveil our new mosaic, made by the 999 Club art group with the help of a local ceramic artist…

Homeless Support Team Manager Louisa Snow and Chairman of Trustees Jeremy Withers-Green with the 999 Club 25th Anniversary Mosaic
The creative work and stories of the people who come into use our services was on show everywhere, from an audio piece taken from our talking group, in which homeless people had a frank discussion about the challenges of homelessness, to a pamphlet of poetry and creative writing, to an exhibition of art created at the 999 Club over recent months…

On ‘silent disco’ headphones, a guest listens to voices from the talking group discuss the challenges faced by homeless people.
The evening also included a screening of our new film, written, directed and produced by people who have experienced homelessness.
And no party is complete without music..
And a cake…
Thank you to everyone who came along to make it such a memorable evening, and all the people who took part in Learning & Activities to create art, write poetry, talk about the challenges they face, make a mosiac, tend the garden, and make a film.
