Congratulations to all our amazing 9 runners, including the Mayor of Lewisham Damien Egan, who have done a fantastic job running the 26.2 miles yesterday, taking on one of the biggest challenge events in the world and smashing it! Regardless of whether the run will go ahead or not, they stayed focused and continued with their training and fundraising; what an amazing achievement it is. We were so humbled and proud to cheer for them yesterday.
They have also smashed their fundraising targets by raising a whopping £17,564 to aid the 999 Club; what a fantastic achievement! Every penny they raised helps us support a person who is rough sleeping on the streets or someone to access employability advice to get on their feet to support themselves. We have seen a big rise in people needing housing, employability, and welfare advice in recent weeks. From the bottom of our hearts, we would like to thank each of our runners for their selfless contributions in allowing us to be there for people who need support.
