Women's Sanctuary
Open Monday-Friday, from 9am until 3pm.
The Women’s Sanctuary at the 999 Club is a safe space which aims to support and empower women facing adversity. If you identify as a woman and are homeless, don't feel safe where you're living or are facing severe financial hardship then please come in to discuss your situation with one of our staff team. You can find us at 21 Deptford Broadway, London, SE8 4PA, 9am-3pm, Mon-Fri. Alternatively, you can call or email us at the contact details below
We want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the space in a way that best suits your individual needs. The Sanctuary can be used as a quiet space to be calm in or for those interested in expanding their social networks, it can also be a fun, friendly place. We are building a community where women can socialize, share knowledge, compassion, and support.
The 999 Club is partnering with Refuge, who will have a presence in the Sanctuary, and together we will offer workshops, events and activities. Women will also be able to access information on issues relating specifically to women (i.e. health and women’s rights). The Sanctuary will be part of a wider network of support where women can access advice, links and referrals to further focused support and services.
We strive to foster an empowering environment, encouraging ownership and active participation. The space and services within will continue to grow and develop through the community of women that use the Sanctuary.
We will be on hand to offer a warm welcome, friendly chat, supportive ear, or just be there to keep you company. If more specialist support is needed, we will be able to arrange for referrals to be made to the appropriate agencies or call for more urgent support should the need arise.
The Sanctuary is open Monday-Friday, from 9am until 3pm.
