Volunteer Coordinator Assistant
The 999 Club helps people who are homeless with the much-needed help of volunteers. As an assistant to the Volunteer Coordinator, you will be helping with various projects concerning volunteers. You will be working with the Volunteer Coordinator at the 999 Club and remotely from home. You will help to make the experience for volunteers welcoming, organised and rewarding by helping with the volunteer newsletter and other administrative projects.
You’ll need excellent communication and people skills as well as confidence and enthusiasm. The role would suit somebody with good organisational and admin skills.
Duties may include:
• Helping with the volunteering newsletter
• Working alongside the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit and induct volunteers
• Helping research websites to recruit corporate volunteers
• Helping with volunteer events such as orientations
• Conducting surveys or gathering feedback from volunteers through conversation
• Helping with online work, like updating volunteer application forms
We ask you to commit to a minimum of one session a week for six months. Monday – Friday 9am – 12pm or 1pm – 4pm or all day with a 1-hour lunch break.
Full induction, ongoing supervision and lunch and travel expenses.
